Crystal Cooper is a singer/performer who grew up in the Orange County area and is a worship leader and vocalist. She has been singing all her life. Crystal’s childhood helped set the stage for her performing arts career which began at the age of 10 when she was cast in the role of “Lucy” in CS Lewis’ The Lion the Witch & the Wardrobe. She went on to carry the leads in many theatrical productions, such as The Sound of Music, The Music Man, Oklahoma, Cinderella, Peter Pan, The Wizard of Oz, as well as countless other plays, dinner theatre shows, and musical reviews.
At the age of 15, Crystal was part of a female pop group, “Harmony” which led her into the Hollywood scene. During her time in L.A., she acted in several films and TV shows and then went on to join a country singing group called “WildFlower.” The group recorded a full-length album, filmed a music video, “Movin’ On”, toured, traveled, and performed at exciting venues all over, including the Steelers Stadium in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania.
Soon after, Crystal began her career in Christian music and recorded her debut worship album, So Close which quickly became a favorite among Calvary Chapels and Christian radio stations in the Southern California area (and all over the world!) Soon after, she released a follow-up album, An Old-Fashioned Christmas which opened the door for her to sing at churches, special events and concerts especially during the holiday season. Most recently, she released her newest album Reflection Of You, a smooth, easy listening album with favorite hymns and classics recorded with a jazzy feel. She debuted it on TBN (Trinity Broadcasting Network) the television station she appeared on regularly.
Crystal also continues her love for theatre and had a chance to originate the role of “Mary” in the spectacular Christmas production, The Journey at Saddleback Church. She also played the role of “Queen Esther” in The Book of Esther; which was performed at the beautiful Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in Irvine. She also spent time on the east coast performing in Pennsylvania with Sight & Sound Theatres – Where The Bible Comes To Life as well as various other places over on that side of the country.
Crystal thanks and praises the Lord for every opportunity He has given her to sing and use her voice for Him. Her favorite role she is playing most recently – is wife to husband Mike, and mother to 3 kids, Esther (6), Jude (4) and Anders 3). To God Be the Glory!
