Fall/Winter 2007:
Crystal decides to take a break from school to really focus on her career. Seeking the Lord’s direction and guidance, Crystal keeps traveling to different fellowships, sharing her gifts and praying for God’s perfect will for her future both personally and musically.
Fall/Winter Highlights include:
Special music and worship for International Networking Associates (both Costa Mesa and Sacramento, CA), God’s Garden (Victorville, CA), CC Costa Mesa’s Women’s Retreat (Murrieta, CA), CC Buhl (Buhl, ID), CC El Cajon (San Diego, CA), Marine Corps Base (29 Palms, CA), CC Hemet (Hemet, CA), EV Free Church of Fullerton’s Christmas Repast (Fullerton, CA).
An Evening With Jesus concert is born featuring Crystal and fellow artists Amanda Kate Smith and Jim White along with songwriter Kathy Gipson. It premiers at CC Costa Mesa and continues to be a blessing wherever God calls them to share it.
Spring/Summer 2007:
Crystal continues in both ministry and schooling, which proves to be a challenging but doable combo and a good learning experience. In April, she is asked to portray “Esther” once again at Verizon Wireless Amphitheater for Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa’s Good Friday evening service. CCCM also brings back the “big tent days” like what started back in the 1970s while refurbishing their main sanctuary. Crystal is especially blessed to sing her rendition of The Holy City in the tent when Franklin Graham comes to speak. In May, she travels to Seoul, South Korea with the Universtiy Choir and Orchestra at APU. They perform twice a day for 10 days including a televised concert at Yoido Full Gospel Church, the largest church in the world.
When school is finished for the year, Crystal has more time to do what she loves - traveling and singing!
Summer Highlights include sharing music and ministering at the following churches:
CC Lake Arrowhead (Lake Arrowhead, CA), CC Beachside (Huntington Beach, CA), CC Truckee (Truckee/Lake Tahoe, CA), CC Barstow and CC East Anaheim’s Women’s Retreat (Murrieta, CA), CC Joshua Springs (Yucca Valley, CA), CC East Albuquerque (Albuquerque, NM) Prophesy Conference (Albuquerque, NM), Worship and entertainment for International Networking Associates (Portland, OR), CC Georgetown (Georgetown, TX), First Baptist Church White Settlement (Fort Worth, TX) and of course, my home church CC Costa Mesa!
Fall/Winter 2006:
Azusa Pacific University becomes home for the year, and Crystal joins the talented vocalists and musicians in the University Choir and Orchestra (www.apu.edu).
Crystal continues to tour locally, ministering at different churches and retreats as God opens the doors. Some of the highlights this fall/winter are singing for hundreds of pastors at a Pastor’s Conference in Murrieta, and the Pastor’s Wives Retreat. She also has the opportunity of sharing at the Joyful Life Christmas Coffee and Luncheon at Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa this Christmas.
Summer 2006:
Crystal is involved in three different theatrical projects. The first being a musical production of Big River, the story of Huckleberry Finn as told by Huck, which opens at the Torrance Performing Arts Center. Crystal plays Mary Jane Wilkes and wins the prestigious TPAC (Torrance Performing Arts Consortium) award, given to an outstanding young performer in the musical theater division for her performance.
Next, Crystal begins shooting an independent film entitled, Dark Horizon. She plays the heroine in this swash-buckling adventure set on the high seas. This independent film is set to be released Spring 2008.
Lastly, Crystal’s favorite project - having the opportunity to work with an extremely talented cast, fabulous director and writer in the Christian Adult Summer Theater (CAST’s) production of The Book of Esther. This show premiered at Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa and opened to outstanding reviews. Crystal considers playing Esther to be the role of a lifetime. She says that being given the opportunity to play this influential, courageous, and beautiful woman from the pages of scripture, was truly a blessing beyond compare.
Winter/Spring 2006:
The production and release of Crystal’s first solo album "So Close", through Calvary Chapel Music, a tremendous blessing and wonderful opportunity.
The chance to perform The Holy City at the Easter Sunrise Service at Verizon Amphitheater, Irvine, California, at 4:00 am Easter morning!
